While the focus of my program was signal processing, I chose my elective courses in two core topics. One cornerstone of my education was hearing science, where I obtained comprehensive knowledge aboutacoustics and auditory signal processing. I continued this path by conducting two projects investigating the effects of cochlear implant compression on spatial perception. My second focus is the field of machine learning, where I learned how to extract the structure implicit in big data, as well as the modeling of real-world data.MSc thesis in cooperation with WS Audiology Denmark A/S:"Spatial perception of gain dependent group delay differences inbinaural hearing aids using minimum phase processing"• Using cepstrum analysis to derive minimum phase filters.• Objective analysis of ITD distortions.• Design of a spatial release from masking experiment.• Conducting a listening experiment with 11 participants.• Data visualization and statistical analysis.
