David completed his racing career driving for Lynx Racing in the CART Toyota/Atlantic Championship. In 2001, he finished second with three wins in the Championship and was nominated to the Cart Atlantic All-Star Team. During his racing career he attracted sponsorship from well-established Canadian companies such as The Keg, Player’s, Molson’s, Clearly Canadian, SmarTire and Future Shop.
