Dock Supervisor at store 0077, Wheaton IL. Lead the dock-stocking crew in processing DC merchandise trucks. During our store's remodel/expansion in 2003 I applied my background from Design and Construction to advise and help lead our store and construction team to a finish date two months ahead of shedule and $160,000 under budget.

Directly managed all department operations in an over $6 Million finished goods DC supporting 37 routes, branches and DCs.Led the Northlake Warehouse Team: Inventory lead, Equipment lead, Office lead, Warehouse leads, NL and fleet drivers in the integration of the old Sara Lee Superior Chicago route business into a new Farmer Brothers distribution center for the Midwest which became the companies highest volume, and twice awarded "Best DC in company" for highest productivity and lowest inventory variance.Led the consolidation of an East Coast and Midwest (Sara Lee) DCs into the Northlake facility including the resetting of Picking Zones, Primaries, Secondary's, Bin and Quick Pick locations. Direct managed all DC operations (on a contract basis) the companies 760,000 square foot Office Furniture Warehouse during the JP Morgan Chase relocation project from their downtown Chicago based office building.During that time I put the warehouse on dedicated location and worked with the owners to establish warehouse, inventory, equipment, and material supply and handling best pratices.

Operations Manager of both DC Operations and all Production Planning (on a contract basis) the Chicago Central Produce branch supporting the Aldi and Trader Joe accounts. My team was 5 supervisors leading 120 employees.Developed the employees dedicated to these two accounts, and responsible for inventory control, all production planning, shipping, and receiving, human resource scheduling.Reflowed all coolers and pack rooms to increase storage capacity/follow the Trader Joe daily orders and put facility on dedicated location inventory control. Increased producivity of the facility by restructuring all shipping and receiving procedures, inventory locations, and cycle counting/inventory resolution allowing a decrease in mispicks.

Directly managed all department operations in a $22 Million 3PL parts inventory DC for International Truck and Engine (Navistar) supporting the Melrose Park Engine Assembly Plant.Hourly JIT loads to the Melrose Park Assembly Plant and daily cross-docks to Navistar's Indy and Huntsville Truck Body Plants.Managed 5 local drivers/spotters in addition to the warehouse team.Worked with the companies owner on process improvements:Putting the facility on dedicated location, inventory control/cycle counting, trained and developed employees, organized and set up the return goods area, which was a quarter of our facility and daily IB/OB flow.As a result decreased putaway and picking time.

Project Manager for sections of the Kohl's, Wards, Ames, Walgreens, and Kmart accounts reporting to the President, VP of Sales, and VP of Production.Implemented and managed a computer based inventory control and cycle counting system for the first time in the compaines history. My duties were expanded to manage the inbound steel dock, material handlers, parts in process, fixture design, sourcing outside services. Reporting to the VP of Production helped manage all stages of production planning: raw material storage, all production inventory, WIP, BOM creation, and order closure process.
