Network Operations Centre support for a highly secure data centre environment complying with ISO-27001 and PCI-DSS.Ensure compliance, security, availability and data protections are maintained according to company/client policies.Primary duties involved installing, testing and troubleshooting servers, routers and switches, both physical and remote.Patching of copper and fibre cabling along with testing and troubleshooting current cabling.Auditing of the site, including physical access and assets, Telco, security and cabling.Troubleshooting issues for clients via telephone, email and ticket system within a timely manner ensuring company guidelines are upheld and exceeded.Monitoring of high availability managed servers and devices, ensuring SLAs are maintained. Fault diagnoses and repair of SDH Optical, Switch and router cards down to component level.Responsibilities included testing, calibration and repairing the Marconi SDH optical telecommunications TX/RX card. This included the correct diagnoses, repair, and the meticulous setup and testing of faulty cards to strict ISO regulations. Gained experience in repairing other field returned units within the Marconi SDH product line, including Power supplies, routers and tributary cards.Responsible for successfully delivering an urgent upgrade program of all BT's SMA16 optical cards, which involved supervising two test repair operators.The position included writing product fault reports, test documentation and procedures from the operator, engineer and management technical level.Gained experience in repairing other field returned units within the Marconi SDH product line, including Power supplies, routers and tributary cards.
