He has over thirty years experience as Director of Research and Professor of Biology, Psychology, Communicative Disorders, Otolaryngology, Anatomy, Surgery, Oral Biology, and Dentistry at various medical and dental schools, including Northwestern University, University of Illinois Medical Center, Yale University, UCSF, Cal State Hayward and Senior Research Fellow in Otolaryngology at the University of Washington in Seattle. Currently on the faculty of Dept Biology, California State University Chico and Dept Periodontics, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Harris has expertise in neuroscience, photomedicine and photobiology with over 150 publications in 12 medical specialties. He has chaired 28 Medical / Scientific Conferences and Sessions, and organized over 80 CME training courses for physicians.Through his consulting firm, Bio-Medical Consultants & Associates, Inc, he has assisted numerous medical device companies to bring their products to market. BMC, Inc. specializes in medical lasers and neurological devices and has experience with the design and conduct of basic science, preclinical animal studies, or clinical trials. Scientist, surgeon, educator and director of a research consulting firm, he is equally at home in the research lab, the OR and clinic, behind the podium, or in industry.
