David Hazony is Director and Steinhardt Senior Fellow at the Z3 Institute for Jewish Priorities, and editor of "Jewish Priorities: Sixty-Five Proposals for the Future of Our People" (Wicked Son, 2024. He is an author, book editor, translator, and Independent Editor at Wicked Son Books. From 2012-2017 he was founding editor of TheTower.org and The Tower Magazine, and Managing Director of The Israel Project. His first book, "The Ten Commandments," was published by Scribner in September 2010, and was a finalist for the 2010 National Jewish Book Award. His writings have appeared in The New York Post, Sapir Journal, Jewish Journal, The New Republic, the Forward, CNN.com, Commentary, The New York Sun, Policy Review, the Jerusalem Post, and others, From 2004-2007, Hazony served as editor-in-chief of Azure, the quarterly journal of Jewish public thought published by the Shalem Center. He has a Ph.D. in Jewish Philosophy from Hebrew University.Hazony has served in senior management of a major Israeli research institute, including serving on its steering committee and in the position of Vice President for Development and Communications. He has offered strategic consulting to a wide variety of Israeli nonprofit organizations, including fundraising, management, and branding.
