Who Am I?I have 25 years of experience working with communities, governments and funders in developing strategic, pragmatic and sustainable solutions. I am a Professional Planner (MCIP RPP) specializing in sustainability and non-profit management and currently am responsible for approximately 20 permanent and 200 seasonal staff and a $11 million budget.I have worked on change management with boards of directors, philanthropic funders and donors. I have developed and managed budgets, committees and created organizational policies and procedures.I have taught university courses on sustainability, planning, policy and community development. I founded a sustainability boutique consulting firm. I have designed sustainability curricula for classroom and online learning environments. I have written various articles and reports and I speak locally and internationally about sustainability.Leadership & GovernanceI have led various coalitions and boards to identify key policy drivers and governance principles that are necessary to change in order for sustainability to flourish. I have served on various Boards and Steering Committees (e.g. BC Conservation Foundation, BC Water Funders Collaborative, BC Fresh Water Legacy Initiative, Sustainable Funding for Watershed Governance Initiative, Sustain BC and Smart Growth Task Force). I worked on a poverty reduction strategies in China with the Canadian International Development Agency. I worked in organic agriculture in rural El Salvador.
