I enjoy writing a beautiful test suite, refactoring components for readability and testability, scaling unscalable systems, optimizing well written code, studying graphs to peek into the spirit of a digital system, and pondering on the abstract nature of systems, bugs, projects, products, organisations and teams. My current favourite digital dwellings are created in TypeScript and Python, although I also admire Go, Rust, Java, Swift, C# and C/C++.I love everything AWS, Docker, and Linux as well as the many technological aspects of Cloud, DevOps, Web3, Blockchain and EVM. I have a beautiful, twisted bond with JavaScript and its many siblings, such as React. Databases are my friends, relational and non.Ultimately I am a pragmatist, and believe that it is important to use the right tools for each job, within the context of each organisation and team.Culture, fairness and diversity are important to me, as are good management practices and agile software practices.
