I supervised the help desk and provided level-2 help desk support. I maintained the Disaster Recovery (DR) site which included all replicated servers and SANs. Monitored and maintained circuit utilization which included internet, voice, data and video. Monitored and maintained IDS services.

Task ManagerSherikon Oct 1995 - Sep 1997I was initially tasked to review designs. After three months, I quickly promoted to Task Leader and Lead Design Engineer. My task was to perform network design services for the Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron across 3 continents and the Veterans Administration Hospitals. I coordinated and proofed all CAD drawing and network designs, and performed the final Quality Assurance (QA) for all deliverables.The Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron contracted with the Navy. The subcontractor was tasked to survey 38 Civil Engineering Air Force Squadron facilities around the world. The task was to upgrade the network infrastructure for these squadrons to include the network cable plant, routers, and switches. The project manager did not understand what the proper deliverable should be. Within the office, there were two approaches being proposed for the contract. Since I had direct experience in the area, I had a unique perspective of the challenge. Since the project manager thought both approaches were valid, I suggested we produce two deliverables. One deliverable was proposed by the other team and the other was proposed by my team. Ultimately, the deliverable I proposed was the one chosen by the Navy and the Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron. My team delivered a product that included CAD drawings, a Bill Of Material and a narrative justifying the design. As a result of my leadership and knowledge, I was promoted to Task Leader 3 months into the contract. The product we produced was so thorough; we landed another similar contract from the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospitals. I received another promotion to lead this new contract. I had about 50 people under my direction.
