In partnership with BRG and Downer providing risk management services to the Navy, Army, Aviation, Acquisition Program Office (NA3PO), CASG through the Risk-as-a-Service initiative. Facilitate the identification, recording, reporting of NA3PO project risk with the goal of managing risks associated with the delivery of key capabilities to sponsors and the war-fighter. Drafted the Branch Risk Management Plan, streamlined monthly risk reporting using Predict data, and designed a Power BI risk dashboard using Predict data.

Risk Manager for Navy Engineering Branch. Develop and affirm branch-wide risks, draft risk appetite statement, and develop risk tolerances and appetite. Draft and implement the branch’s Risk Management Framework (RMF). This included extensive liaison with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other stakeholders including CASG and Navy HQ. Facilitated risk management workshops for SLT and key stakeholders to identify current and emerging risks, remedies, and responses throughout the Branch. Achieved >30% branch participation. Enhancement of the Governance and Risk oversight by drafting the charter and establishment of an SLT Governance and Risk Committee (GRC) including periodic dashboard reporting on risk issues and performance metrics. This included the preparation of the GRC reporting pack. Drafted risk assessment tools including risk record, risk register, risk action table, risk reference card, and user guides. Developed and performed a risk maturity survey for a longitudinal study. Drafted and published dedicated Risk Management articles in branch communique for risk cultural uplift.

This included liaison with senior management, board, and executive stakeholders. I incorporated the risk guidance’s from ISO31000, Department of Finance risk policy and guidance, KPMG and Deloitte risk frameworks, and internal audit recommendations into the RMF. Drafting executive and ministerial level correspondence. Facilitation of risk workshops to enable risk assessments for new policy initiatives and projects including addressing the development of shared risks and risk culture. Reviewed and benchmarked the risk management practices and culture. Affirmed the department’s good standing with the Department of Finance and Comcover. Performed analysis of risk data using Python, R, and Power BI for use in risk reporting.
