I co-founded the company with the architect from Open mHealth and hired and managed a team of software engineers and designers to build an end-to-end remote patient monitoring system. I not only lead sales, operations and business development but also product.

I love industrial design as well as building businesses. My dear friend and award winning industrial designer, Faris Elmasu, prototyped a beautiful bicycle basket and was sitting on hundreds of email addresses wanting it. I thought I could help. And that I did. We developed a Kickstarter campaign and actually got $10k committed. Our goal amount was too.

Organized three major evening film events in Washington, DC, New York City, and San Francisco to help spread innovations in public health.

Developed competitive positioning and brand strategy for their Cucina & Amore product line. This was used to influence new package design. I also helped advise them on a new governance structure to allay confusion between the wholesaler (International Delicacies) and their popular product Cucina & Amore. Provided guidance on website design.

Wrote 80-page guide with case studies on how to enhance financial services for Think.Tech.Act—a capacity building project that helps civil society organizations match technology solutions with organizational needs. Developed interview guideline and performed four interviews for a narrative case study based on Gobee’s work with Population Council and.

Designed an HRH tool that costs retention improvement interventions in the health labor market. The design format used Wufoo form generator and Omnigraffle. Designed an HRH activity-based costing model to be used to cost prioritized HRH activities for the Lesotho Ministry of Health’s HRH strategy. I designed the costing model using Microsoft Excel 2007.

Worked to modify and include adaptations to the Resource Requirement Tool (RRT) while in-country in Lima, Peru. The Peru MOH wanted to pilot RRT in the Ayacucho region to better understand the profile and costs attached to health workers in an effort to reach their national health insurance goals.

Researched and designing a case study report from experience using RRT in Ghana. The report was used to help train Francophone African countries to use RRT as a guide to cost national HRH plans and strategies.

Conducted research on pediatric TB by focusing on contact nodes. Created a database for SS+ cases of children from the Americas, with primary metric being prevalence rates. Co-authored an issue brief on pediatric TB which was distributed to each of the ministries of health in the Americas.
