I am the Field Computer Specialist & NMCI Assistant Contract Technical Representative for the Contingency Response FO, Training Academy, Charleston, Parris Island, Beaufort & acting FCS for NCISRA Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point & New River.My responsibilities include:--ACTR for the NMCI contract: I anticipate hardware & software requirements for over 200 users & order, deliver & track equipment. This includes submitting orders, creating, submitting, & tracking buildouts & MAC requests. --Configuration, installation, troubleshooting, & maintenance of all classified desktops & laptops, POM devices, TALON, NIPR & SIPR networks, all expeditionary comms equipment for Iraq & Afghanistan as well as any mission critical locations CRFO may deploy. --COMSEC Local Element for CRFO: I am responsible for COMSEC inventory, monthly audit trails & re-keying the KIV-7s on two SIPR circuits. I am the POC for two SIPRnet circuits & act as liaison between DISA, EKMS manager, CRFO & NCIS Training Academy. --VTC coordinator: I am the POC responsible for coordinating & testing the NIPR & SIPR VTC equipment & provide VTC guidance & training.--Facilities IT manager: I am the POC responsible for designing new networks & coordinating with contractors, NCIS, DISA, & local telecom vendors for successful design, installation, & activation of all new & existing NIPR & SIPR circuits. -- Onsite support for IT initiatives, projects & programs: Examples of initiatives for which I am the onsite support include: Livescan implementation, CaseCracker coordination & maintenance, install & configuration of new POM devices, update of Analyst Notebook, Scene PD, & continuous update of patches & various other software. I travel on a quarterly basis to outlying field offices, such as Charleston, Parris Island & Beaufort to take care of any IT related issues & meet with NMCI Field Services to understand what issues are ongoing.
