While working at Loiederman Soltesz Associates as a Staff Engineer responsible for storm water management design for large residential, commercial and mixed-use developments for private developers. Design responsibilities included detention and retention basins, storm sewers, overland flow routes, performing earthwork computations, preparing cut sheets for field use, and preparing floodplain studies. All of this work was completed by using Microstation J, Microsoft Office, and HEC-RAS.

While working at JCK & Associates as a Civil Engineering Technician responsible for a variety of tasks throughout the office. In the private sector of the office responsibilities included designing and drafting site developments using AutoCAD 14 with Softdesk 8 and AutoCAD 2000 with Land Development Desktop for private developers and designing plot plans for individual lots.On the municipal side of the office responsibilities included aiding the City of Novi's Engineers with reviewing final and preliminary site plans, reviewing plot plans, inspection of construction projects being built which included writing daily inspection logs, aiding in the surveying and staking of projects, preparing presentations and exhibits for meetings with clients and city council meetings, and running bluelines and mylars.
