I have extensive experience teaching English literature and writing to L2 learners in Chinese English mode of instruction contexts. I am an active scholar, having published three books and several articles in scholarly journals, as well as presenting at national and international conferences. My scholarship seeks to examine disciplinary intersections between literature, science, metaphysics, and religion. Moreover, I am keenly interested in global education. I currently work at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China; previously, I worked at Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China, two other universities in China, and a seminary in South Korea. Also, I led a study-abroad course to China. I believe in the necessity of global education, and I am thrilled to be afforded the opportunity to teach students from China and other parts of the world, encouraging them to contemplate what it means to be a human being in a global setting, striving for universal human flourishing.
