My goal has always been the pursuit of excellence in my field. Over the past 8 years I have developed a fluency in Maya with a focus on character setup and tool scripting. My professional background as a technical artist dates back to 2007 includingexperience as a technical lead. My career is supported by my education where I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media (Computer Animation and Game Design). I'm looking for projects that will really allow myself to expand my craft and grow as an artist.In 2007 I joined the Blue Mars team at Avatar-Reality as a character developer. During my time I was focused on creating a facial animation system utilizing a propriety wrap deformer. This setup rapidly expanded to include full body animation as well as cloth and hair simulation. Beyond the character setup I worked as part of a team to establish character pipelines as well as being responsible for character models, topology, uv layouts, textures, and general artistic proportions.As Technical Lead at Hyperspective Studios I developed 3d animations and visual effects for commercials, movies, stand alone projects, and interactive media. I was responsible for the completion of 16 projects as an individual artist as well as leading a small team. While there I have also spent time working in the Unreal Development Kit as well as developing a game platform for the Xbox 360 community games using XNA/C#. The platform was designed to work in parallel with a handful of custom Maya plugins and Mel Scripts to facilitate a smooth pipeline designed for CG artist.However, beyond any technical skill or experience; my work ethic and passion for games are probably the greatest assets I bring to any team.
