Responsible for all clinical aspects of the development of a treatment for two of the world’s most challenging conditions – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fragile X-associated Tremor / Ataxia (FXTAS). There are no FDA approved treatments for the core symptoms of ASD and no FDA approved treatments at all for FXTAS

Responsible for development and execution of the compound strategy for SPRAVATO (intranasal esketamine) through leadership of a cross-functional Compound Development Team (CDT). The compound development team leader is responsible for all of the clinical, medical, scientific, manufacturing, quality, preclinical, and commercial aspects of the development program. • Leads the development team in formulating and executing the development strategy, global submissions and approvals for esketamine in two indications in adults (Treatment Resistant Depression [TRD] and Adults with Major Depression with active suicidal ideation with intent (MDSI) and a pediatric development program in MDSI. • Responsible for the integrity of study design, implementation, execution, analysis, and publication of study results for the 6 phase 3 studies in TRD and 2 phase 3 studies in MDSI and phase 2 study in pediatrics. • Participates in global review, governance, and decision-making bodies within the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area at the request and direction of the Global Head of Neuroscience, and/ or the Head, CNS Development.

• Schizophrenia Disease Area Leader - Responsible and accountable for designing and leading the execution of an end-to-end strategy in the schizophrenia disease area, including: building a leading global pipeline, ensuring robust competitive positions in critical areas of science; delivering on the established an agreed-upon metrics including programs and budget; managing and prioritizing an end–to–end schizophrenia portfolio from discovery and external collaborations through launch; leading stage gate reviews at major transitions including NME declaration, early development contract, late development transition, and decision to file.• Neuroscience TA clinical representative on the Janssen Excellence in Development Initiative (JEDI) improving the value, quality, efficiency and reducing the cost of clinical development.• Fosters partnerships both internal and external in facilitation of innovation, product in-licensing and out-licensing, acquisitions, and co-development. • Responsible for the integrity of study design, implementation, and publication. • In partnership with Global Medical Safety and Pharmacovigilance, accountable for monitoring product safety, and with the Regulatory department, global drug labeling for medicines and compounds within CNS. • Final clinical scientific responsibility for review and inclusion of novel technologies and methodologies specific to schizophrenia• Responsible in partnership with Human Resources for personnel management, recruitment, staffing, career development, and diversity inclusive mentoring.• Participate in global review, governance, and decision-making bodies within the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area at the request and direction of the Global Head of Neuroscience, and/ or the Head, CNS Development.
