Licensing Compliance ManagerThe position covers the traditional SAM (Software Asset Management) role of software asset discovery and reconciliation with the manufacturer. It also includes interaction with various technical experts, purchasing and vendors to develop a licensing picture of the environment. The position covers vendor audits. Some highlights below:• Worked on various vendor audits, resulting in reductions from the initial findings in the 10's of millions of dollars.• Worked on license verification resulting in the discovery of 100's of licenses overlooked by various vendors, in their supplied license reports.• Consulted with IT (Information Technology) on research/discovery, contract/agreement review, and acquisition processes for software licenses.• Worked with IT towers to establish that the correct metrics and licenses were used, purchased and/or upgraded.•Worked with SNOW software in the development of "Quest software license" discovery process and numerous software signatures• SME (Subject Matter Expert) on SNOW (license management and discovery), LMT (IBM License Metric Tool), VOM (Veritas Operations Manager), ITCM (California Associates IT Client Management), LanSweeper (Discovery tool), RVTools (VMware reporting), and various other associated tools.• Member of the MIS Technology, 2015 Recognition Award, Outstanding Team: For Leadership Recognition of Significant Achievements by a team for Project Turnaround and Operational Excellence.

Manager/Team Lead for support engineers in “Flight Control Desk”, NetApp Global services. Covering five shifts (2 weekend, 3 weekday) for ~150 engineers. Duties involved insuring customer satisfaction, efficient technical case movement and resolution of Level 3 cases. The information gleamed from the case notes is used to move the case to the appropriate TSE (Technical Service Engineer) while assuring that shift-to-shift case movement went as efficiently as possible. This work was managed through multiple local and international campuses and various levels of Technical support. Flight Control involves direct support of the first line TSMs (Technical Support Managers) in their daily duties.• Generated an in-depth analysis of long-term Aspect support phone data identifying the key features, event drivers and long term changes• Reviewed case histories and movement to spot and improve trends• Developed metrics processes currently used to determine intra-shift case movement• Case escalation handed from SAM (Support Account Manager), FSM (Field Support Manager), customers etc

Working as a contractor at NIEHS (National Institute of Environmental Health Science) in project management, system administration, infrastructure, security/disaster recovery and technical purchasing. • In technical purchasing arena managed yearly maintenance contracts running ~$350,000/year.• Streamlined the maintenance contacting process so that the end dates were all date synced to the same period. Resulted in a savings of $40,000 the first year and $25,000 the second year. • Wrote several white papers and analyses on Desktop backup process, enterprise backup, NetApp storage and server integration. Worked on research, spec-out, managed vendor negotiation and installation of ~$5,000,000 dollars in computer room IT hardware/software for CTB (Computer Technology Branch) at NIEHS over 5 years. • Generated and delivered a complete cost analysis, error rate, backup rate and performance evaluation of the NIEHS backup/server systems. Including a non-linear mathematical analysis of the rate of success as well as projected future data expansion rate, amount of data backed up etc. • Drove a high end video conferencing room project running ~$250,000.

As a contractor at NIEHS drove a number of wide ranging projects.• Managed projects on deployment of E-mail systems, video production systems, video conferencing systems, enterprise backup, desktop backup. •Managed two computer room updates/renovations from start to finish which involved several months of planning so as to maintain vital services while tearing down and reassembling rows of servers, switches, cabling and assorted hardware into new locations.

• Managed several MSmail (Microsoft mail) servers networked to provide Windows and Macintosh mail services. • Managed Microsoft Exchange as follow up to MSmail • Deployed/managed Retrospect desktop backup servers for 1100 desktops.• Deployed Network FAX server with e-mail delivery.
