Built product and engineering teams and led the development, from concept to commercial delivery, of the mobile commerce, loyalty and consumer engagement platform, leading to commercial sales and global partnerships in the UK, North America, South America and Asia.Delivered rapid prototypes for key commercial account pitches with global brands, including Ford Motor Company, BMW and Deutsche Bahn.Conducted patent evaluations and managed patent attorneys in the analysis & development of IP strategies to identify threats and opportunities, ensuring freedom to operate and opening new product capabilities for the business.Introduced and led business reviews with the C-suite and senior VPs across all regions, clarifying alignment of priorities across all regions and initiatives, allowing better-informed decisions, and improving the application of resources to agreed commercial goals.

Led the product & engineering teams through rapid expansion to 120 members in multiple locations, and developed organisation structures, tools and processes to maintain efficient product delivery as the business scaled.Conceived and led the development, production, certification and delivery of a mobile app-based card acceptance platform, including iOS and Android apps and an ultra­portable Bluetooth chip & PIN card acceptance device, with production operations in the UK and China. Launch customers included NTT Data, AON Retail, First National Bank (South Africa), Danske Bank and Royal Bank of Canada.Integrated two disparate mobile engagement platforms into a single unified product, and delivered localised versions in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, utilising local and offshore product & engineering teams for customers included Costco (Japan), China Union Pay, Hypermart (Indonesia), Vodafone, Trony (Italy), and Samsonite (UK).Achieved platform security compliance and certification to PCI DSS, Visa Merchant Agent, PCI PTS and EMV L1 & L2, on cloud and hosted software + hardware platforms.

Designed the product and business model, recruited engineering resources and built and delivered the first platform to market, with first revenue within 6 months.Raised £950k to develop the platform and business; hit profitability in 18 months.Developed an off-shore team for human support interventions, built extensive reporting & monitoring dashboards, and established the platform as a stable self-service business, generating consistent passive returns to the shareholders to the present day.

Led and developed new annual service revenues to augment the core software licensing model, with customers including Viking Direct and Banner Group.Established the new Product Management function, and led the team to improve the focus of development resources and accelerate product delivery in line with leadership goals.
