Coordinated with website and email team on endorsement rollouts and announced electoral victories on social media.Produced creative content to highlight victories, policy rollouts, and other important news from our local elected officials across social media platforms — including a video of San Antonio City Council member Jalen McKee-Rodriguez talking about real public safety beyond policing which went viral and was reposted by Actress Taraji P. Henson. This video helped raise Jalen’s profile, with articles written in local media, and also drove the conversation around public safety. Researched emerging trends and new tools on social media to identify opportunities to better engage audiences.

Led the campaign for Moumita Ahmed for City Council in a special election, the first ranked choice election in NYC history.Directed ballot access, set fundraising goals, acted as the point of contact for press, community members and the Campaign Finance Board, and hired and led meetings with staff to make sure deadlines and goals were met. As a result, we were first on the ballot, placed 2nd in a field of 8 candidates, maxed out on matching funds, and were able to get press from national outlets including the Gothamist and NY Times. Researched and created the policy platform, filled out all endorsement questionnaires, and prepped the candidate for screenings. As a result, we received dozens of endorsements from unions, progressive organizations, community groups, and elected officials, including Senator Bernie Sanders, the Working Families Party, Communication Workers of America, CIR SEIU, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Courage to Change PAC.Coordinated all digital communications and managed all campaign assets, including email, ads, texting, and social media on behalf of the campaign.
