I advise both publicly-traded and closely-held businesses on a wide variety of general business matters, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures and general contractual relationships. I have experience in the payments industry, having managed over 100 M&A transactions in that industry.I successfully represented a publicly-traded, U.S.-based financial services company in connection with its acquisition of the payments divisions of several publicly-traded financial institutions, its acquisition of a publicly-traded payments processor, its formation of a strategic alliance with a major European financial institution, and its merger with a major U.S.-based financial institution.I have served on boards of directors, audit committees and compensation committees of several public and private companies. I currently serve on the board of advisors of Valor Equity Partners, a Chicago-based private equity fund, and Invision Capital Group, a Chicago- and California-based private equity fund.
