My interests range from backend concepts like cyber-security, distributed systems, networking, and operating systems to data-driven product development and user experience. I am particularly excited about team-based efforts that make use of my previous experiences while expanding my knowledge and understanding of computer systems and data. I love to design, build, and deploy.I am currently a software engineer at Aptos Labs, where I am continuing my work on what was formerly known as the Diem blockchain.Most recently at Novi, I was the tech-lead of Web3 at meta where I worked across multiple organizations and teams to help land many strategic technical and product initiatives. Prior to that, I had spent about 2 years working on the Diem blockchain, including designing our governance and genesis procedures, driving last mile production readiness, established our security infrastructure initiatives and principles, and defining integration with Diem. inclusive of blockchain synchronization, handling of payments / transactions, and off-chain exchanges.Prior to Novi, I was a Tech-Lead / Manager at Facebook in Ads Growth at Facebook. Goaled on growing the number of active business on Facebook, my team and I developed customizable marketing solutions driving our active advertiser metric by over 6% and enabling engineers and non-engineers alike to communicate with businesses on Facebook eliminating the need for 3rd party marketing tools.Previously, I was a research scientist Yale University, leading Dissent, a DARPA funded project focused on privacy and anonymous communication. I also explored the use of structural analysis to help identify potential failures in clouds before they occur. Prior to Yale, I obtained a doctorate at the University of Florida in decentralized virtual networking and distributed grid computing with resources distributed globally incorporating hundreds of users utilizing over a million compute hours. In total, my efforts have resulted in over 40 publications and several open source projects.I have significant experience in programming with Rust, C, C++, C#, Python, PHP, Javascript, and have dabbled in several others. During my time in academia, I developed an expert level understanding of security and cryptography bridging the theoretical and applied. Additionally, I have vast experience in developing Internet scale communication systems with high reliability across unreliable networks. At Meta, I developed data analytical skills driving substantial impact across the company.
