Glenner Alzheimer's Family Centers (creator of Town Square), a non-profit provider of day programs in a family-like setting for adults affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of memory impairment, as well as support services for people who care for those with memory impairment.I was elected Chair of the Board of Directors in April 2014. As Board Chair, I helped lead the team that designed and constructed the world-renowned Town Square Chula Vista, a ground-breaking program inside a "mini 1950's-style town" that provides engaging activities for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. We successfully conducted a multi-million dollar capital campaign, and I helped forge a national strategic alliance that has resulted in more than 15 Town Square locations being constructed around the United States. As a Board member, I also provided direction in areas related to budgeting and finance, fundraising and donor cultivation, branding, community outreach, community partnerships, and governance of the organization.
