Senior 5G PHY System Integration Engineer at Qualcomm

Optical amplifier development technical leader throughout all product phases:o Defining specifications with marketing and clients, formulating HW/SW requirements for R&D.o Proof of concept experimental investigation to validate optical design and RT SW algorithms.o Test setup design and construction, running experiments, results analysis and reporting.o Detailed optical design & BOM creation, working with suppliers to define and select components.o Hands-on leading intensive Optical/SW/HW/mechanical bring-up & integration activities.o Prototypes assembly, calibration, system verification, and DVT.o Pre/Post sales customer support .o NPI & production support, including ATP, cost reduction and optimization.

o Early stage product definition and optical modules specifications correspondence with vendors.o Hands on experience with all optical network sub-systems (e.g. Amps, ROADM, transceivers).o Defining and executing complex setups and test plans (static and dynamic), incl. automation.o Leading lab activity and ensuring quality, schedule, test focus, and troubleshooting.o Results analysis, identifying key conclusions, reporting and presentations.o Driving cross company implementation of conclusions (e.g. R&D, marketing, field support).

o Investigation and feasibility assessment of new optical technologies.o Precise lab optical characterization - both at module and system levels.o Definition, implementation, and validation of models for optical network design tools.o Optical networks design to support tender preparation.o Lab customer demonstrations and proof of concept for new projects. o Field support and problem solving for network deployment.
