I'm a General Partner at Bungalow Capital, a pre-seed venture firm focused on backing exceptional entrepreneurs. We invest early and with conviction as an institutional partner for founders building software across multiple industries. We know that building an enduring company is never linear so we invest in managers across the good and the muck, aiming to become a founder's largest shareholder and supporter.I previously started my first startup in 2008, where I focused on sales, product and general management in a really challenging category (small business software). As a founder, I learned the importance of prioritization, go-to-market dynamics and the power of storytelling to raise capital.In 2011, I shifted my attention to product management at a public travel company during an important inflection point, during the rise of mobile use and emergence of apps. As a PM, I learned the importance of process, incentives and conversion. I then had the opportunity to help build the venture business and become an institutional investor at a hedge fund starting in 2013 where I invested early into companies like ChowNow, Sourcegraph ($2.6bn), Thirty Madison ($1bn+), Simplecast (acquired by SIRI) and Wholesail. As an investor, I recognized the importance of conviction, earned secrets and leading indicators of success.
