David empowered good sales people to become great client success managers by leveraging traditional and non-traditional methodologies. In one engagement, Clarke and his team co-authored several courses, books, and simulation games for online and on-ground instructor-led programs. Together, they delivered these programs to over 250,000 students and achieved a 2,700-basis points retention improvement in one year. Toolwire, Inc. merged with Logilent Learning Systems in May 2003 and David joined Toolwire as the Vice President of Learning Solutions. In that role, David guided Toolwire’s product development and solution consulting teams to co-create client-centric capabilities in gamification, game-based learning, and custom virtual desktop labs for IT training.In an engagement with Microsoft, Clarke architected the company’s first online learning and certification program (called MODL). In conjunction with Microsoft leaders, Clarke co-authored the GEAR methodology for delivery of virtual, multi-sensory Instructor-led courses: (G)ather, (E)xpand, (A)pply, and (R)eceive Feedback. The result was a 400% improvement in MTM (Metrics That Matter) scores.
