CeADAR is a market-focused technology centre that drives the accelerated development, and deployment of data analytics and AI technology and innovation.The Centre is the bridge between the worlds of applied research in data analytics and AI and their commercial deployment.My role involved:• Developing start-up/spin-out opportunities • Commercialisation of the portfolio of CeADAR demonstrator projects• Drive successful business outcomes for the centre’s applied research work• Foster the ecosystem of companies in Ireland working in data analytics and AI• Identify funding opportunities and co-ordinate/drive the CeADAR response to them• Increase the economic value-add of the centre

I set up and led Open Labs by TU Dublin, which created an external R&D facility for small firms, giving them access to more than 600 DIT researchers and facilities in product prototyping, virtual reality, internet of things, data analysis for business and innovative surface coatings.http://www.dit.ie/hothouse/openlabs/Achievements:- Open Labs yielded, through an investment length of 1.07 years, an ROI of 4,450%.- Co-founder of the virtual reality lab in TU Dublin, VIRaL- Co-founder of the rapid prototyping lab in TU Dublin, Create LABDIT Hothouse is the award winning Innovation & Knowledge Transfer Office at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). The mission of DIT Hothouse is two-fold: we support the launch of knowledge-intensive start-ups with the potential to generate significant economic benefits for Ireland and we maximise the commercialisation of technologies developed by DIT researchers.

I set up and led Dublin Institute of Technology's student enterprise support programme entitled I-Cubed. I-Cubed focuses on developing DIT students and alumni as entrepreneurs with the intention to create viable and sustainable businesses. Participants of I-Cubed receive seed funding, mentoring and incubation space to support the entrepreneur.I-Cubed pilot programme results:• Baon Diagnostics was the winner of Best Business Idea Category in Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur 2016, Dublin City County Region. • Baon Diagnostics was a winner of the DIT Hothouse Inventor of The Year Award.• Jaru Food Ltd successful in gaining place on SuperValu Food Academy Programme with product being stocked nationally. • 3 participants successfully awarded a place on Enterprise Ireland's New Frontiers programme.
