I am a results-oriented public company chief legal officer and corporate secretary with 29 years of experience in news, cable television, television broadcasting, digital publishing and large law firm practice.During my career, I have worked at three of the world’s iconic media companies — BuzzFeed (NASDAQ: BZFD), Discovery (NASDAQ: DISCA), and Scripps Networks Interactive (NASDAQ: SNI) — and served, by appointment of the President of the United States, on the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the steward of the American people’s investment in public media.At these organizations, I have rallied global teams through numerous acquisitions, merger integrations, high stakes litigation matters, and transformation initiatives. A history teacher before I began my career in the law, I am especially adept at hiring, developing and motivating diverse talent across functions to drive superior business outcomes, with an emphasis on process optimization and the use of data in legal operations.
