I have had messenger bags, laptop bags, backpacks, shoulder bags, satchels and there was even a time when I wore a fanny pack back when they were cool. The bags that have come in and out of my life through the years either didn't last or didn't have the functionality that I wanted. I wanted a rustic, Indiana Jones type bag that would last through whatever adventure I put it through. I wanted a bag that would be my companion on business meetings, outback excursions and urban tramping.Sketching up what I thought would be the ultimate combination of form and function, with toughness thrown in for good measure, I took the idea to several leather workers. After their experienced opinions & a revision or six I had a leather messenger bag custom made for me. My new bag carried my worldly possessions in rugged style. Oversee and implement the electronics design of audio, visual, and systems automation control in exclusive, high-end residential estates. Responsibilities include meeting with potential clients for a complete needs analysis and create comprehensive conceptual drawings of proposed systems. Generate and set budget estimates based on accepted concept and remain within that budget. Organize integration with various trades related to project. Produce detail drawings of room layouts, elevations, sight-line study, mechanical systems, along with many other details as needed. Produce pre-wire plans to support completed concept. Produce system schematics for inter connectivity. Maintain a working plan and system goal throughout project. Create equipment schedules and purchase orders. Oversee and direct installation team throughout project. Maintain documentation and field reports related to the project. Conduct extensive testing of completed system to ensure functionality and reliability as outlined in project scope. Follow up and train client on system use.

Responsibilities include meeting with business and residential property owners, architects, and builders to plan and design custom audio-visual and automation packages that meet each particular client’s needs. Produce proposals, blueprints, schematics and plans utilizing D-Tools & Visio software. Interface and coordinate with installation team, provide pre- and post-installation automation programming and GUI design, walk through and train property owner in use and features of systems.Position requires high customer visibility and contact, and a vast knowledge of consumer audio-video equipment and current applications. Knowledge of construction and woodworking as it applies to custom installs also essential. Thoroughness, aesthetics, and precision are high priorities.
