• Lead a multidisciplinary team of supervisors and operators and maintenance trades in operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. • Ensure drinking water processes including granular filtration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, CO2/Lime and chlorination comply with ADWG and management plans• Ensure wastewater treatment processes including BNR, MBR, SBR and sand filtration produced treated wastewater compliant with environmental licences• Use of spreadsheet models to plan staged shutdown of process trains while ensuring compliance• Ensure utility water for construction and operation complies with specification• Provide advice to senior management and client on water and wastewater treatment• Development of staff including emerging leaders• Development of management plans for drinking water supply and wastewater treatment and ensure operation and maintenance is in accordance with these plans• Collaboration with stakeholders to understand changes to water demand and quality and make necessary changes to treatment processes• Management of annual budget of $30 million

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of supervisors and operators and maintenance trades in operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. • Ensure drinking water processes including granular filtration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, CO2/Lime and chlorination comply with ADWG and management plans• Organise and manage consultant to prepare HACCP and subsequent development of management plans for drinking water supply and wastewater treatment• Development of CCP Plans and delivery of training to management and team members on these Plans potable water awareness• Ensure wastewater treatment processes including BNR, MBR, SBR and sand filtration produced treated wastewater compliant with environmental licences• Development of spreadsheet models to optimise wastewater treatment plant performance• Ensure utility water for construction and operation complies with specification• Provide advice to senior management and client on water and wastewater treatment• Development of staff including emerging leaders• Development of management plans for drinking water supply and wastewater treatment and ensure operation and maintenance is in accordance with these plans• Collaboration with stakeholders to understand changes to water demand and quality and make necessary changes to treatment processes• Facilitation of continuous improvement project to improve treated wastewater nitrogen compliance• Reporting on lessons learned from operations are communicated to improve future plants and recommend minor improvements• Management of minor projects including improvements to water and wastewater treatment plants

• Supervision of operation of wastewater and recycled water treatment plants with processes including BNR, IDEA, microfiltration and reverse osmosis• Development of staff including junior engineers and emerging leaders• Ensure compliance with regulatory licences• Facilitation of HAZOP for each plant at start of operations contract• Development of spreadsheet and BioWIN models to optimise plant operations• Development of budgets and forecasting expenditure • Involvement in design of major projects including Hunter Treatment Alliance including options assessment, design, HAZOP/CHAIR workshops and commissioning• Review of design documentation and operations manuals during capital upgrades• Communicating lessons learned from operations to design phase• Project management of minor improvement projects• Development of quality systems to ensure treatment operations group compliant with AS4801, ISO9001 and ISO14001

• Provide technical support to Manager Treatment Operations in operation of Hunter Water Corporation’s Treatment Plants to ensure that wastewater treatment facilities are operated to comply with environmental regulatory requirements

• Monitor asset capacity against population growth to ensure upgrades are completed on time• Project management of consultants undertaking environmental assessment and design• Liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure designs meet corporate requirements while remaining on schedule and within budget• Review of design documentation and drawings• Reporting to senior management and Board to obtain approval for upgrade options, funding and contract award• Contract management of major construction works • Communication with external regulators including EPA and Department of Planning
