I enhanced the backend of an ASP.NET MVC application that was being updated to .NET 6. I added new data reporting features for data pipelines, implemented various bug fixes, and updated code from .NET Framework. I also managed the migration of its backend database from SQLite to MS SQL Server, which included - Analysis of the SQLite database to determine the datatypes to use in MS SQL Server - The writing of code to create the tables in MS SQL Server and transfer all the data from SQLite - Modifying queries within the C# code base to successfully access the MS SQL Server databaseTo further assist with the database migration, I also wrote Python code to integrate a RabbitMQ messaging service with an existing data pipeline to ensure no data would be lost in the event of a server outage/failure.

I led the redesign of multiple desktop applications from Visual C++ to more modern frameworks utilizing WPF/XAML for the front end and C#/.NET for the back end. Early work involved using .NET Framework 4.0 and later rewrites were done using .NET 6. We coordinated with other engineers that managed different back-end components and with sales/clients to determine current pain points and how they could be fixed/addressed.I wrote an Excel Add-In using VBA to create mathematical approximations (generalized quadratic equations) from given data sets. The Add-In performed statistical tests (R-Squared and Adjusted R-Squared) to determine the fit of the approximations. These approximations were used with another application that made heavy use of linear programming to solve optimization problems, significantly improving both the run-time and accuracy of the models.I was also able to create company-wide DLLs for creating process flow diagrams and plotting data points via line graphs.

I instructed 2-6 weekly discussion groups of up to 25 students each to facilitate the learning of introductory calculus. I was committed to creating a positive and enthusiastic learning environment to foster students' academic growth and success.

Over the course of six weeks, I instructed 30 students in various calculus topics including differentiation rules, basic integration, some common differential equations, and partial derivatives. I created the lesson plans, assigned their homework, and wrote/graded their exams.

We provided specialized consultation and support for UCSB faculty on their Online Learning Management System (Moodle based). We wrote online help documentation to promote best practices and for frequently asked questions. We also answered questions via email or face-to-face drop-in assistance.

In addition to the duties of an Operations Coordinator, I handled the scheduling of all student's shifts each quarter and ensured the correctness of all employees' time cards each pay period.

Operations Coordinators (OCs) oversaw the daily operations of the Student Help Desk, We supervised the Student Consultants; answered phone, email, and drop-in questions regarding the University's student email system; and performed all the same duties as the Student Consultants.In addition, we each had a specialty. I was the Reliability Coordinator. It was my responsibility to make sure all of our policies were updated and to keep track of which consultants were doing particularly well and which needed more guidance and mentorship.

I and my fellow Student Consultants managed computing and printing facilities available to university students. We troubleshot technical problems with lab software, computers, and printers (paper jams).We had a laptop loaning program where students could borrow a laptop for a few hours on any given weekday. It was our responsibility to ensure loaners knew all the rules and regulations for using these laptops and making sure all the necessary paperwork was in order.We instructed introductory seminars on Microsoft Office and Adobe products. We also got to independently learn the various software products available in the labs to help answer questions.
