Manage the purchasing and relationships with third party manufactures. - Mange our customer service and brought in new systems to enhance our ability to take care of our customers and track all calls and issues.- Work to train and prepare staff to grow and develop and be prepared to step into new roles as the company grows.- Help write SOP’s and set up the Operational structure of the business from start up to a large organization. Involved in the renegotiation of shipping contracts which resulted in substantial savings on freight costs. Oversaw the installation of a new shipping line. Changed Scanners used on line to save $10k in repair costs per year. Coordinated with IT the installation of four new shipping servers this year, working with IT to overcome all integration and implementation problems. Oversaw and directed all employee recognition, discipline, hiring, and firing in the shipping department.Hired to supervise the shipping of about 25,000 packages a week to the US and UK. Managed 22 people including 2 Leads. Responsible for the hiring, firing, reviews, and overall production on the line for the shipping department in the US. Met deadlines for packages getting out the door, using UPS, USPS, and FedEx. Have built strong working relationships with the other departments, and meet with them frequently to improve things. Have been very involved in the creating of reports to improve the shipping line. Assisted with a management transition in Canada. Helped develop and implement a new shipping line, with new shipping programs. -
Operations ManagerDenali Health Sciences Dec 2005 - Nov 2006Due to the growth of the company about 20 people were hired on and I was promoted. I moved all our warehousing to a third party fulfillment center, and would give direction and leadership when need. Changed our shipping methods allowing us to ship cheaply and quickly in all 50 states as well as Canada. Opened up Canada for business, and made sure all laws and customs were done correctly there. Managed all production of products by finding vendors, establishing terms, and supplying them with what they needed. Made spreadsheets to calculate shipping accuracy per week, tracking problems, inventory tracking that would show our sales increase, when we needed to order and the burn rate of the inventory, and how we were doing compared to prior months. Managed our I.T, and HR. Assisted with the budgeting. While in this capacity the company quadrupled in size. We have never had a backorder, and our shipping has improved from a 77% accuracy rate to a 97.89% or greater.

Production SupervisorHaulmark Dec 2004 - Nov 2005After 3 months I got a raise, and a month after that I got promoted to be a Production Supervisor. Responsible for overseeing the performance of 15 production workers at the very end of the production line. Responsible for keeping track of absences, terminating unproductive workers, and attending daily meetings on how to improve the production processes and procedures. I would also prepare Excel and Word documents to show how the production line was performing. Each day there were quotas that we needed to meet and problems that I would need address and correct. Organized the workforce each day to efficiently and effectively meet the production requirements.
