David MacMain is an attorney whose has spent over 30 years representing, defending and advising police professionals, corrections administrators, public officials and insurance professionals throughout the country on issues involving civil rights, employment, municipal law and professional liability. David served as Pennsylvania State Trooper stationed at the Avondale, Chester County Barracks prior to beginning his law career. He has been named a "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer" multiple times in the field of Civil Rights as selected by an anonymous survey of lawyers and judges statewide, representing the top five percent of all lawyers in Pennsylvania. David is rated 5.0 of 5.0 "AV" Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell indicating that his peers have found his legal skill and ethics to be of the highest quality. David serves as the Solicitor for the Chester County Sheriff's Department. David is a member of the Defense Research Institute and was the Chair of the Governmental Liability Committee from 2019-2020. He has been a featured speaker at several national DRI conferences, and was the Program Chair of the 2013 Governmental Liability Seminar.David is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC). The FDCC is composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction, and membership is limited, selective, and by nomination only. David is also a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA) which invites only one defense trial attorney per one million in population for each city, town, or municipality across the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Great Britain, and France - a statement of the high regard in which that defense trial attorney is held by his or her peers in the defense trial bar of their city and state or province. David is a frequent speaker on civil rights, municipal liability, employment litigation, police and prison-related issues, zoning and land use, trial skills, and ethics to a variety of audiences, both locally and nationally, including public officials, lawyers and solicitors, and insurance professionals.
