• Led product design and managed production for two new consumer products (BlingWraps, BlingDots), which are being sold through multiple retailers (HSN, Kohl’s, Dillards, Amazon) and distributors (Stuller)• Created new production process utilizing toll manufacturers for one product (BlingWraps) as there were no scalable manufacturing processes available• Manage all materials selection/sourcing and identification/screening/management of strategic manufacturing suppliers including compounders, toll manufacturers, extruders and converters as well as fulfillment centers• Oversee all manufacturing operations, working closely with vendors to ensure a smooth production process that delivers a quality final product on time and on budget• Conduct IP evaluations and provide recommendations to legal team to file patent applications• Work with COO to evaluate/negotiate contracts for all company activities including manufacturing, procurement, marketing and sales• Deliver technical review of sales and marketing collateral materials including packaging, sell sheets, advertisements and website• Work with COO to set pricing and manufacturing/supply chain schedule to ensure on-time product delivery• Ensure product environmental and FDA compliance with national and regional labeling and safety requirements including CA Prop 65

• Provided materials and coating consulting services, corrosion protection/prevention recommendations and new product development for high value niche markets and smaller consumer products • Sold industrial coatings and materials to customers and distributors in China and the Middle East• Assisted with new process development and scale up of PPECVD of sub-micron powder fluoropolymer, polyolefin materials and product development of the new multifunctional inorganic additives/fillers. Identified market opportunities, managed patent portfolio evaluation and researched competitive technologies. Target applications included electronics applications, fire retardants, industrial/maritime coatings and consumer products. • Identified potential market opportunities and provided guidance on alternative formulations/additives for recycled polyolefin based composite materials for use transportation, oil and gas, bulkheads, flooring, decking and consumer products

• Directed plant operations from R&D through product shipment, including manufacturing plant optimization• Implemented new manufacturing procedures and protocols at three production plants—including one in China—by establishing communication channels for all aspects of manufacturing, from order processing, procurement and quality control, R&D, packaging and distribution. A three-fold increase in productivity was achieved in three months. • Responsible for the development of numerous coatings systems for industrial coatings customers, including BP, Henkel and Sinopec, with specific material property requirements for the maritime, and primary/secondary containment coatings markets, including polyurethane, epoxy, vinyl esters• Directed new product development of thermoplastic olefin materials for targeted end users • Negotiated the purchase of a company, which was subsequently sold to a public advanced materials company

• Drove development of a number of innovative products for key customers including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, PPG and Koch Industries• Managed STTR Phase II award. Coordinated the research efforts of a multi-organizational interdisciplinary R&D effort, which included members from The Applied Physics Labs at The Johns Hopkins University, Optimetrics Inc. and Integument Technologies Inc. for the development of a fluoropolymer appliqué system designed to provide exceptional corrosion protection, and signature reduction by controlling visible specular gloss, IR and Near IR Reflectivities. The system also offered MIL- Spec and CARC compatibility. • Member of a cross disciplinary team funded by a number of agencies including DARPA and the Office of Naval Research. The team was comprised of chemists, physicists, ceramicists and engineers actively pursuing the development of generation after-next multifunctional fluoropolymer nanocomposite appliqué systems for aerospace applications (polyimides, fluoropolymers). • Principal Investigator for an SBIR Phase I award. Responsibilities included all materials preparation and characterization and all written reports. Research included the development of hybrid polymer nanocomposites and self assembled monolayers and organosiloxane surfaces on fluoropolymer substrates (PTFE, FEP, ECTFE, etc.). • Responsible for procurement and set up of new R&D laboratory facility to increase production from research to production scale of micron-sized fluoropolymer and thermoplastic resin nanoparticle composites• Worked with VP of Business Development to identify and develop innovative new products for customers and fill key market voids, including: optically clear peel and stick fluoropolymer films for graffiti abatement, fluoroelastomers and elastomeric films for secondary containment in aggressive chemical environments, concrete structures and paint replacement fluoropolymer appliqués for bridge structures and lead containment

• Set up and management of new lab facility for the safe handling of air sensitive/pyrophoric chemicals and preparation of colloidal semiconductor nanoparticles • Member of a collaborative research group including chemists, physicists and electrical engineers involved in both basic and applied research in nanotechnology • Projects included the development of a novel synthetic pathway for the synthesis of III-V and II-VI quantum dots and subsequent surface modification for use in optoelectronic devices, photovoltaics and bioimaging •Preparation of active polymer nanocomposite materials
