I manage a team of investigators responsible for maintaining the integrity of football in England. This includes allegations of; betting, match-fixing, media/social media comments, discrimination, anti-doping rule violations, financial impropriety, breaches of the intermediary regulations and third party ownership of players. I am enthusiastic about integrity and as an experienced presenter, also enjoy delivering education on the integrity of the sport. I am a trained interviewer, including interviewing minors and those with complex learning difficulties.Notably, I have successfully investigated The FA's first case of spot-fixing without the input of law enforcement, as well as a case of inside information in relation to betting allegedly being passed by a high-profile Premier League footballer to family members. I have also had managerial oversight on many other high profile and complex investigations.

As a Specialist Operations Detective in the Trident Gang Crime Command, I was responsible for managing my own case load of investigations within a team investigating non-fatal shootings and other serious crime within very challenging communities across London. I identified the perpetrators of shooting offences and also risk managed the victims, witnesses and suspects. I provided specialist advice and managed resources in the high pressure environment of serious crime scenes. I regularly interviewed witnesses, victims and suspects ensuring these were recorded to the highest evidential standards. I prepared complex cases for Crown Court and managed trials through the criminal justice process. I maintained effective working relationships with key internal and external agencies, in particular the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Prior to my position in Trident, I was a Detective in the Notting Hill CID investigating, Fraud, Serious Assault, Missing Persons and Drug Supply. managed my own case load of up to 15 investigations at any one time, achieving many successful prosecutions. I gained the ability to look at complex financial matters and have the ability to understand them. A key investigation I am proud of included investigating a £800,000 fraud carried out by the CEO and IT Manager of a charitable organisation over 10-year period. Both males were convicted and imprisoned for over 5 years. Before becoming a fully qualified Detective, I was a Trainee Detective Constable responsible for managing a high volume of Robbery Burglary and Motor Vehicle Crime investigations in an extremely busy office on a high profile London Borough. I was also required to assist other facets of the CID where needed. Key achievements included investigating a violent Robbery where the victim required reconstructive surgery to his face and had no memory of the attack resulting in an 8 year sentence for the offender.

I also volunteered as a “Tutor Constable”, teaching newly qualified recruits to apply their knowledge to real life Policing. This included written assessments and verbal reports and feedback for each student.
