I am available for projects in modeling renewable energy integration, transmission-distribution coordination, advising on market requirements and structures, and evaluating the value and risk of energy projects. I have a deep understanding of transmission and distribution models for both operations and planning. I have developed both physics-based and data-driven models to support investment, reliability, and planning decisions. My goal is to create models which are the "right-size" to inform decisions through understanding and communicating both the sources of value and quantifying risk. I am excited to support clients on diverse projects, from providing data sources to justify and understand their company's revenue and impact on power systems to developing detailed stochastic models market bidding strategies. I also participate in NERC committees include the RSTC representing small-end users.

Founding member and director of electricity market trading team who evaluated market opportunities and researched requirements and risk of participation in electricity markets. I helped set requirements for software technology to support trading while developing initial trade algorithms and the risk and valuation statistical metrics. I researched market requirements and conditions to ensure we knew all costs, risks, and rewards to support investment in Tether and communicate the understanding to other operations and trading teams.Energy system modeler who used data and statistical modeling to identify electricity market trends and develop algorithmic trade strategies in day-ahead and real-time energy markets in CAISO, ISO-NE, and PJM. In addition to developing and deploying my own trades from initial idea to operational strategy, I supported other traders on power system fundamental models and guiding trade development and data acquisition. In addition to detailed statistical and power system fundamental modeling, I supported paren company Modern Energy by evaluating energy technologies' market value and risk for investment in companies and new projects, including storage, demand response, and solar.I served as the Risk Officer for Tether Energy's Investment Committee. I developed new risk metrics to evaluate new and existing trades and set procedures for evaluating trades' success.

Evaluated energy efficiency and demand response technologies for participation in wholesale capacity markets. I developed statistical models to determine the market value of new technologies and justify those valuations to market regulators. This work directly supported the origination team's efforts to recruit new clients and products and the trading team's efforts to determine auction participation and meet market regulator's requirements.

Researched and evaluated methods to assess risk of intra-day natural gas insecurity for electric system operation. Developed regression models to quantity and predict day with high propensity for generators to reduce out or decommit due to natural gas constraints.Created Matlab/Simulink models of regulation signals for energy storage

I developed a novel framework for risk-based transmission planning combining power flow models, transmission and generator outage tools, and statistical sampling and clustering methods. The method could support transmission expansion project evaluation and decisions between transmission investment alternatives to meet NERC's transmission planning standards.By invitation, I present this research to the ERCOT board and as part of a risk-based planning panel at IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting.We applied this method using the full ERCOT network model to evaluate actual, proposed transmission investment alternatives. The sample project showed the viability of the proposed framework as well as the current limitations in power flow and remedial action software to fully implement this project as a software tool. We communicated these requirements to software vendors and research partners.
