I have over 25 years of specialist legal experience in Real Estate, Structured Property and Hotels & Resorts, including as a partner from 2009 to 2021 and group Head of Real Estate in the Sydney office of Baker McKenzie from 2016 to 2020. In April 2021 I moved into an Of Counsel role and took on an additional National Business Manager role for the Real Estate, Tax and Construction Teams - primarily to allow an increased focus on my philanthropic pursuits while continuing in active practice.My practice spans the full range of commercial property including lease and property portfolio management, privatisations, REITS and capital markets transactions and large scale development projects. I have a focus on complex property investments and restructuring, including multi-jurisdictional projects for major on-shore and off-shore sales and acquisitions. My clients include listed and unlisted REITs, family office, private, government and quasi-government organisations, large institutional and corporate investors, hotel management companies, pension and insurance funds and fund managers.I am a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing, co-chairing our Baker McKenzie Wellbeing Committee and leading local and regional initiatives in mental health internally and in the broader community. I believe that the ability to recognise and put in place measures to address poor mental health is fundamental in our personal and professional lives - our own and that of our colleagues, friends, family and broader community.As an amateur endurance athlete, I love to use personal challenges to raise funds for charity and am particularly focused on those that empower children through investing in their health or education both here in Australia and overseas.
