I am currently the principal owner of E.J. Smith & Associates, a company that performs a variety of traditional insurance functions on behalf of large insurance companies. This includes program development, sales and marketing, underwriting, policy issuance and administration. My primary market is college and university students, staff, and alumni.I have enjoyed a lucrative career growing the business in executive management and marketing director roles. I’ve utilized my passion for quantitative analysis, data analytics, econometrics, multiple linear regression analysis, actuarial science, and SQL to generate reports, write data-driving strategic plans, and make accurate profit and loss projections that allowed me to mitigate ongoing changes in the healthcare marketplace, including market disruption following passage of the ACA. I am ready for a different challenge. I am seeking a corporate opportunity to bring my experiences and passions into various roles, including more entry-level positions where I can demonstrate my ability to succeed as either a team member. Of course, in certain roles I could serve in a more senior capacity given my extensive insurance and financial background. I’m open to any unique opportunity but am currently focusing on data analyst, advanced analytics, data management analytics, financial analysis, or health and benefits analyst.
