David is a Managing Partner at Draft Ventures, an investment fund focused on early stage companies in climate and fintech. Draft Ventures writes $200K-$500K checks into pre-seed and seed stage companies. We made over 75 investments to date including seven unicorns - Notion, FabFitFun, Side Inc, Protocol Labs, Thrive Market, Dfinity, and Cosmos - all of which we invested in at the seed stage. Other notable investments include Zipline, Function Health, Subspace, and Wintermute. David was formerly COO at Side Inc., a real estate technology company, and COO of Livefyre, as marketing software company. After selling Livefyre to Adobe, David led the integration of Livefyre and focused on Adobe’s AI and emerging technologies strategy. David was previously on the venture investment team at Greycroft Partners.David’s background is in engineering, and he has designed and programmed microprocessors at Medtronic and IBM. David is also passionate about social initiatives focused on economic development and has lived in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Mozambique working for Engineering World Health and TechnoServe.
