As the Associate Director of Career Services for Falk College, my primary objective is to facilitate innovative and effective career advising, professional development, and networking opportunities for Syracuse University students. I aim to foster academic and professional success for a diverse range of students and alumni, from internship to post-graduation employment to future career growth.

-Advised veterans and their family members around the world on academic, career, and military to civilian transition goals-Engaged campus and community representatives in Upstate New York on veteran issues and opportunities-Contributed to coursework selection and development, data management, and advising best practices within the IVMF

Primary mission of providing Reconnaissance support to the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain). Responsible for command, control, and execution of all training and combat operations of the Troop. Responsible for the training, readiness, and welfare of over 90 assigned and attached soldiers. Responsible for the management and conservation of over twenty million dollars worth of government equipment.Prior to this assignment in the Vermont Army National Guard I was responsible for the training of National Guard Soldiers in Vermont, Colorado, and Michigan in mountaineering skills. I was also in charge of the intelligence opertions of a National Guard Battalion, and managed the physical, personnel, and operational security of that unit.In these positions I have been awared the Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, an Army Achievment Medal, and was awarded the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award for 2012. This award recognizes leadership potential, technical and tactical expertise, and service to the community and nation. This award was given to only seven National Guard officers nationwide in 2012.

Led a School to work program aimed at helping students identify realistic career goals and build a plan to accomplish them. This took the form of guided research, business tours, and internships.Led an outdoor adventure program that fostered confidence and teamwork through mountain biking, skiing, orienteering, obstacle navigation, and many other activities.Long Term Substitute teaching.

Managed up to 20 soldiers, officers, and civilians responsible for the intelligence collection and analysis of a Cavalry Squadron deployed to Baghdad, Iraq and Khost Province, Afghanistan.Trained Iraqi and Afghan Intelligence Officers in collection and analysis skills.Planned, resourced, and conducted hundreds of hours of training in physical security, operational security, and intelligence collection and analysis for over 600 U.S. Army Soldiers.Awarded the Bronze Star Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, and the Army Achievement Medal for exceptional service while on active duty.
