About David Kam 家伟
I am a London-based creative, teacher and speaker exploring the intersections of movement, mindfulness and embodied placemaking. Weaving 10 years of multimodal research across architecture, dance and yoga, I create safe spaces to explore the wonder in wellbeing. Through embodied practices and content creation, I hope to offer peace and calm, advocacy and representation as a cis-queer Hakka Chinese Malaysian.I am a core member of British East and South East Asian Network (besea.n) and sit on the board of WE CREATE SPACE, a global empowerment platform for queer leaders. I also run kindredpacket, a non-profit uplifting East and South East Asian (ESEA) communities through intergenerational storytelling, culturally sensitive practices and collective care.I am currently pursuing a specialist course in choreological studies at Trinity Laban, studying movement from the contemporary lens of Rudolf Laban’s theories.
