Ghana

I relocated to Ghana to lead a team of 10 practitioners in the PR and Influence Department where we successfully executed communication assignments for NGO’s, banks, International Organizations, FMCG, OEM’s, tech startups and insurance companies across Ghana’s dynamic business sector and the larger West Africa region.During this period, the agency’s PR businesses has tripled, its reputation as a PR powerhouse has improved and each team member is now an astute consultant.Navigated the COVID pandemic by leveraging on new technologies through hybrid working and a digital-first approach to continue providing counsel to clients including the Electoral Commission during the 2020 General Elections, EU Delegation in Ghana, ExxonMobil, Twitter, Bolt, Standard Chartered Bank, Diageo and Ministry of Finance.

Nairobi + Uganda

As a freelance Communication Consultant, I demonstrated an entrepreneurial mindset by developing a portfolio of clients across various sectors. These assignments included crisis interventions for TransCentury PLC with a view of changing reputation and addressing miscommunication in the media, developing integrated communication and messaging frameworks for brands such as Stanbic Bank Kenya (a member of Standard Bank Group), Opera Software, Raiser Resource Group, Mabati Rolling Mills, MKoin and the Architectural Association of Kenya.

Kenya

I handled Corporate Communications and CSR for Schneider Electric, Intel East Africa, Wananchi Group, D.light and gaming firm SportPesa. I also oversaw Hill+Knowlton’s strategic communications counsel proposition to clients and was instrumental in the company’s business development efforts especially in the Technology, Energy and Sustainability sectors.

London, United Kingdom

Worked with the London Technology Practice at H+K Strategies London handling Dolby's communications activities at the 2016 Mobile World Congress and the NAB Show 2016 in addition to coordinating media activities for the premiers of Dolby Atmos mixed films like Batman vs Superman and Game of Thrones sn 5. Was part of the team handling Intel EMEA and cloud computing company NetApp and was instrumental in restructuring its Twitter policy, content publishing on 'the public and private cloud' and contributed to Intel's content publishing strategy.

Kenya

Handled Microsoft Mobile Devices (formerly Nokia). As the account lead, I was tasked with developing strategic communication campaigns for the account for both B2C and B2B audiences while overseeing the day to day account management.I also handled Corporate Communications for Intel East Africa and an investment bank, Genghis Capital, leading a purely internal communications campaign that sought to re-energize employee engagement and communication.I also led communications for Sub Sahara Africa's leading Digital Advertising Agency, Squad Digital, helping the firm with Reputation Management and Thought Leadership.

Uganda And Rwanda

I was tasked with growing the Uganda business through helping clients design winning strategic communication campaigns that result in the achievement of business and communication objectives. I handled Diageo, Unilever, Smile Communications (an ISP in Uganda specializing in 4G LTE) and led the launch of Smart Telecom, Uganda's youngest telecommunications company entrant.I also managed China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Uganda Limited's Public Affairs and Corporate Reputation while handling strategic communication campaigns, market research and overall communication planning for Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG) and the Aids Health Foundation (AHF) in Uganda.

Kenya

I was involved in Strategic communication program design, digital PR, media relations and change communication campaigns for a diverse cross-section of industries and sectors. I carried out high level writing and media relations assignments for clients and enhanced corporate reputation for key multinational and Pan-African organisations especially at their time of launch and relaunch into the market and region.

I was key in planning and implementing client’s PR programmes whilst also helping to manage budget, team hours, profitability, and client information sharing. I designed media strategies to suit client needs; identify media trends; place stories and arrange successful, on message media interviews. Writing is a key passion for me and developing talking points, concept and brief notes relevant to various campaign activities being one of my strengths was always a pleasure.
