New technology was rolled out to enable workers to function as if they were in the office from where ever they needed to get work done. This project saw the implementation of mobile telephony and tablet devices that leverages the Microsoft systems technology of cloud hosted windows server environment and Office 365. When the organisation made a decision to relocate head office this presented a significant technical challenge of dealing with a data centre. With a cloud first strategy a project was quickly formed to transition the infrastructure into a cloud hosted managed service which was successfully achieved within four months and resulted in zero downtime and 100% accuracy of transition. To support this transition and operations of the thirteen sites a new WAN was transitioned in that saw significant improvement in bandwidth and speed that provides a great user experience no matter where workers are working from. With the successful implementation of effective end user technology and robust infrastructure systems the focus has turned to applications renewal that will implement a new digital platform, CRM, financial system and a set of tools to bring the end to end platform together that provides the business with greater insights into business, product and service offerings.
