I believe politics can be something more than screaming and pounding the table. I believe that politics - true politics - is the recognition that personal action is social action.More than ever people are feeling cynical about politics, representing a decline in social trust - a story I’m sure everyone’s heard about. I could go on about why this is happening, but I want to jump to the good news. There are roughly half a million elected officials who are working to improve this country. Many of them are nameless and work thanklessly. This is the true story of American politics, one that doesn’t get told often. This is the story that I hope to revive and that I hope to embody.
