Sparrow Pharmaceuticals is developing targeted therapies for conditions of glucocorticoid excess - associated with the natural glucocorticoid cortisol due to a tumor, or long-term use of a glucocorticoid drug such as prednisolone. Sparrow's pipeline is led by SPI-62 & SPI-47 in Phase 2 clinical development. My responsibilities include clinical trial leadership, clinical outcomes assessments, clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, nonclinical studies, manufacturing, and intellectual property.

I led cross-functional teams for clinical development of several experimental drugs from 2005-2012 (then continued at AbbVie). Previously, I initiated Abbott’s pharmacogenetics program, built and led a clinical pharmacogenetics laboratory, provided precision medicine strategic support for clinical trials teams across multiple therapeutic areas, and collaborated with commercial colleagues to map the potential of precision medicine. I also led a joint research program with Myriad Genetics to discover new drug targets and lead compounds for major depression, and a research collaboration with Genset SA to find genetic risk factors for drug-induced liver injury.
