To date, I have been utilized as a teacher of a variety of subjects, willing to step in and fill the gap as needed. I have taught English, Business Technology and Communications, Communications Technology, Media Studies, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, and the Social Sciences.In the last couple of years, I have been most consistently teaching Old and New Testament Survey, Challenge and Change in Society, and Individuals and Families, with one section of Communications Technology.My desire is to seek out better and better ways to foster student learning. Often this means that students take ownership for learning and have opportunities to create content, problem solve, peer edit and evaluate, self evaluate and have more one on one time with their teacher.As a Christian school teacher I am blessed with the burden of student discipleship. At Berlitz in Slovenija, I got my first taste of teaching. It was here where I first felt the excitement of learning. In the short time that I was teaching in Ljubljana, I expanded my expertise until I was teaching business English to our most important clients. While I had the privilege of teaching politicians and executives, my most memorable moments were teaching the famous distance swimmer, Marten Strel.My time in Slovenija will always be with me, and has informed my teaching as I strive to see students learn.
