I am a strategic executive with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge and experience of the financial advice, wealth and asset management, insurance, and superannuation sectors. I have worked both as a consultant and advisor influencing change at an industry level, and on the client-side for wealth/asset managers & advice businesses. Some highlights:• Consistently delivered ~25-30% profit margins across the Australian and New Zealand Insights business (covering both quantitative and qualitative programmes). • Leveraged proprietary and industry data and insights to advise a new wealth management platform on which adviser and consumer segments to target, and how to differentiate and win. This approach resulted in new platform flow significantly above internal and market expectations. • Re-prioritised a large (~1 million member) superannuation fund’s development roadmap to firstly focus on retention of members, and then focus on growth. This improved retention sufficiently to justify continued investment for future growth.• Developed distribution and product strategies for asset managers resulting in significantly improved sales into new/non-core investment strategies. Improved sales team performance as a result of restructured sales structure. • Board engagement to outline options to separate/simplify/sell two super businesses with ~1m customers totalling ~$10b in FUM.With strong technical expertise in data/analytics and insights programmes, I’ve spent the last few years running qualitative and data-based insights programmes across the Australian and New Zealand wealth, asset management, and life risk value chains.My skillset is broad, across strategy development, financial product development & management, product marketing, stakeholder and board management, and negotiation.
