CurrentDuring my time at East Tennessee's first TV station I've worked with some of the best journalists and production staff around to tell our region's story one day at a time. With digital being the new frontier, I've helped expand our "digital first" mindset from being an idea to practice through digital video and photography.Some of my accolades and accomplishments include:• I've earned Employee of the month Oct 2017 for my work covering American Idol and a massive train derailment as well as my work shooting still photography for the station.• I won the 2018 award for Excellence in Video from the Society of Professional Journalists for my work covering the USA Cycling Championships.Most of my time is spent: • Covering big stories such as the Gatlinburg wildfires, The CMA awards, The Battle at Bristol football game, the TN governor's inauguration, major court cases, and many others.• Keeping up to speed with technical aspects of visual production including lighting, composition, camera equipment, editing, audio engineering, live streaming, and much, much more.• Conducting live streams for both broadcast and digital programing.• Reporting on events from local emergencies to music festivals to politics, to sporting events.• Editing daily news programs, reporter packages, and station specials.• Collaborating with crews to create productions for various news specials and live TV broadcasts.• Continually learning.
