Rocket Products is a pan-African promotional merchandise company headquartered in Kampala, Uganda that provides clients with an extensive portfolio of advertising products. With offices in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Mauritius, Rocket is a market leader in the supply of top-quality POS items and marketing merchandise. The company’s clients are the major brands across Africa.As the business development manager for Rocket Products, I facilitate all the necessary operations in Tanzania which includes sales, finance, logistics, customer service and human resources.

Northern Zone is a graphic design and printing solutions company. As a marketing and sales executive I had the responsibility of arranging the company’s sales and marketing strategies. This involves preparing of daily sales activity, creating and initiating promotional strategies, maintaining of online promotional content, marketing schemes, prospecting new clients, retaining customers and managing our customer service to ensure that customers are satisfied with the nature of our business and services provided.

Handled documentation processing, login of documents in TANSAD system, acquiring all necessary permits for importation and exportation of goods, shipping line invoice login, goods verification and inspection, endorsement processing, import duty collection and payments to TRA, wharfage collection and payment to TICTS & TPA, Transport arrangement for transit goods and goods imported for commercial purposes or final use.

Backed up by my education in marketing and experience in the marketing field, I handled the introduction and planning of a marketing scheme for their new product called Mlimani drinking water, in the Dar es salaam region. This included conducting a market research of the targeted market, procuring, transportation of the product, designing branding elements for the product aswell as customer prospecting.

Worked as outsourced consultant for managing the brand image and promotion for one of the Barking dog lounge and restaurant franchises located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part time job during my last year of University. Handled the advertising and brand management of the franchise such as planning a market strategy for procuring new customers, building a customer database for the already existing customers, customer relations and entertainment.

Worked as sales and product procurement assistance for Chissels Limited Company, now known as Dar-Es-Salaam Duty Free Center, for 5 months before commencing my college studies.

Worked as an intern at AFSAT, a subsidiary of iWay Africa, doing system evaluation and network troubleshooting in customer service department, buyer prospecting in the sales department, and hardware installation and maintenance in the engineering department.
