Led a cross-functional team in transforming a global end-to-end supply chain management solution, including executive communications and fully integrated Program Management, for a Fortune 100 company. For the customer, this solution yielded a first year cost avoidance in excess of $50M and is on plan to deliver sustained year over year cost avoidance in excess of $100M and was the result of the largest and most important business relationship between the company and any of its customers at that time.

Led multi-site, globally dispersed team of over 3,300 project management, engineering, test, logistics and manufacturing personnel in support of development, manufacturing and sustainment of numerous programs, with a combined annual budget of approximately $4.5B, to include: Sustainment and support of the Navy’s front line fighter, state of the art sensors such as the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar and Infrared Search and Track (IRST), the transition of the Blue Angels to a new aircraft configuration and six Foreign Military Sales partnerships. Led the nearly $9B effort from planning to delivery of the newest configuration of the F/A-18, ultimately delivering nearly 700 aircraft to the US Navy with state of the art capabilities. This effort included successfully carrying a Multi-year Procurement plan through Department of Defense process and Congressional oversight. Delivered a first of its kind plan to extend the life of the US Navy’s entire inventory of F/A-18’s using innovative contracting and a highly collaborative environment.

Coordinated and synthesized activities for Chief Executive Officer leadership in support of an annual budget of $40B and over 32,000 geographically dispersed personnel. Executed significant structural change to the entire organization leading to 20+% improvement in inaccurate records and acceleration of over 6 months in detailing military personnel to and within the command. Perceiving the potential for improvement in a Culture of Excellence, organized, coordinated and facilitated the first ever organization-wide Commanders Conference, bringing together over 200 commanding officers to align vision and priorities.

Led the introduction of a ground breaking system-of-systems capability to Fleet users that involved innovative approaches to Requirements Definition, Budgeting, Contracting, Test & Evaluation, Training and Sustainment. Coordinated activities of three disparate acquisition programs, two uncoordinated funding sources and three constituencies with a combined investment in excess of $4B to enable the customer to train with and employ an integrated solution that ultimately has become the model for Department of Defense Capabilities-Based Acquisition.

Led seven Integrated Product Teams with over 1100 geographically dispersed people with an annual budget of over $620M, managing five of the most complex DOD programs, delivering integrated capabilities to the customer. Streamlined software delivery processes by 66%, adopting First Time Quality, Agile Development and Open Architecture processes, the first in DOD to do so. Coordinated the integration of seven separate Program Office products onto the platform, resulting in cost savings in excess of $100M and ultimately delivering an interoperable capability, tested the way it is used.

Led a team consisting of over 75 military, government and contractor personnel, spanning multiple product lines from sustainment of over 1100 fielded radar systems to the delivery of state of the art capabilities using AESA technology, with an annual budget of over $200M. Devised and delivered an innovative approach to obsolescence management that resulted in a 75% improvement in parts availability. Led the introduction of the upgraded AESA radar to Fleet users, finding solutions to highly complex challenges in technical and security infrastructure.

Responsible for the safety, welfare and advancement of 240 personnel, managing over $1.2B in capital assets with an annual operating budget of over $30M. Received recognition on the US Navy’s “Retention Honor Roll” and was singled out as leading the unit with the greatest retention improvement in the US Navy in FY08.
