Coordinating a range of initiatives undertaken by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA); BBS Honours degree for the Aviation/Surface Transport/emergency services, Technical Aircraft managment Programme, Train the Trainer, Health and safety at work, EASA Part 66 modules, and Human Factors in Aviation amongst others. These iniatives aim to upgrade the skills of those working in the sector and help those without work find suitable employment.

In my role as Training Manager Ireland I am responsible for the Training organisation in Ireland.My responsibilities included:• Profit and Loss account responsibility • Meeting sales targets (30+ Global customers) and management of applicable 3rd party contracts• Responsibility for all training staff including Performance Management• Responsibility for the apprenticeship scheme with 120 apprentices• Regulatory compliance • Maximisation of government funding for internal programmes

Responsibility for all aspects of training in the FLS Aerospace Group. This involved responsibility for 3 training schools; 1 in Ireland, 2 in the UK and one in Palma in Spain. FLS Aerospace was purchased by SR Technics in 2002. Within FLS Aerospace I had responsibility for all aspects of training in the FLS Aerospace Group. This involved responsibility for 3 training schools; 1 in Ireland, 2 in the UK and one in Palma in Spain. Development and implementation of a strategic plan for the UK division/s of the organisation, significantly reducing costs and ensuring their future viability. Two training schools were integrated into one sustainable unit.
